How much does tile and grout cleaning cost in Vancouver?
Our planning ranges are $1.50–$3.50 per square foot for tile and grout deep cleaning and $0.75–$1.50 per square foot for clear grout sealing, in Canadian dollars. Sealing is an additional scope where suitable. Surface, buildup, condition, size and access affect the work. Your written quote confirms the measured scope, any minimum charge, inclusions and applicable tax.
Will professional cleaning make my grout look new?
Cleaning can improve embedded soil, soap film, grease and other suitable residues. Permanent staining, wear, previous coatings or uneven grout colour may remain. We review the surface and, where useful, a test area so expectations are based on the actual condition.
What is the difference between cleaning, clear sealing and colour sealing?
Cleaning treats soil and residues. A compatible clear sealer helps reduce staining in suitable absorbent grout while preserving its appearance. A compatible colour sealer also changes or evens the grout tone. Neither treatment repairs crumbling joints, loose tile or failed waterproofing.
Does every tile or grout need sealing?
No. The tile, grout, finish and existing treatments determine whether sealing is appropriate. Epoxy and other grout products have different care requirements, and some surfaces do not need or accept an added sealer. We review the exact material and product guidance before recommending it.
Can colour sealing be used in a shower?
Only when the selected product is suitable for that grout, surface and exposure. The joints must be sound, properly prepared and dry to the product’s requirements. Shower floors, frequent water exposure and existing coatings need particular review. Colour sealing is not assumed to suit every wet area.
Can cleaning or sealing stop a leaking shower?
No. Cleaning and grout sealing are surface-care services. They do not replace the waterproofing assembly, repair leaks behind tile or correct movement and loose tile. Recurring wet areas or damaged joints need assessment before a cosmetic treatment is selected.
Can you clean marble, travertine or other natural stone?
Natural stone needs a surface-specific review. Acid-sensitive stones and polished finishes can be damaged by unsuitable cleaners or tools. We confirm suitability before treatment. Etching, scratches or loss of polish may require specialist restoration beyond a cleaning scope.
Do you offer repair or regrouting?
We review damaged grout and explain when repair or regrouting is the appropriate next step. Any grout removal, sealant replacement, tile repair or investigation must be confirmed as a separate written scope. It is not included automatically in a cleaning or sealing quote.
How long before I can use the floor or shower again?
That depends on the cleaning and any sealing product, surface conditions and drying requirements. Larger areas or added treatments may require separate stages. We confirm access restrictions and return-to-use timing for the actual work; one universal drying time is not assumed.
Do you clean tile in condos, strata and commercial buildings?
Yes. Suitable showers, floors, kitchens, lobbies, washrooms and other tiled areas can be reviewed. We coordinate access, building rules, protection and phasing. Evening or weekend work is discussed for the actual project, subject to availability and the agreed scope.
What should I send for a tile cleaning quote?
